Our Story: Kiln Creek Realty is birthed

Upon driving around the Kiln Creek community one Friday afternoon installing signs, Fred had the idea “what if we opened a real estate company in Kiln Creek?” after a phone call and some brain storming sessions, Fred and Cheryl decided it was a fantastic idea! The next Monday the name was purchased and the dream was birthed Growing Pains Though our beginnings were small, through God’s grace and the tireless efforts of the founding partners, Kiln Creek Realty has grown to be a successful Real Estate company, helping not only Kiln Creek residents, but the surrounding Hampton Roads family with their real estate needs! Our company is made up of several dedicated full time real estate agents with diverse backgrounds.

I was a FSBO, ready to do my own marketing and pricing, until a chance visit to a neighboring real estate office.  At the time I was just walking in to see the other listings in my neighborhood to establish a competitive price to post on For Sale By Owner website, certainly not for employing an agent, as I have always been skeptical of them. However, Cheryl quickly quelled my concerns with her honest personal manner and expertise. She told me she could get about $20,000 more than what I was considering to list my house for.
